This International Trinket Box Gift Set has been sitting in my eBay store without attracting much attention. Before removing it from my product inventory, I decided to give the listing a "holiday makeover" and see if I could capture some holiday sales. The overall effect has a retro, vintage, artistic flair. It is a dramatic improvement and was far easier to execute than I would have expected.

I first selected to use more lines using the number of Edges tool at 81% and the Edge width threshold at 2 pixels. I then used the delete extract brush to extract the background, changing the size of the brush from larger to smaller to cover the areas. I then selected a background from the Bling! It library, there were three that looked great, so I'm including one for the contest, but they all looked great!

The only extras other than stripping out the background and putting my own in (I used a picture of the sky from a holiday snap and added a gaussian blur to it) and adding the shadow was to use the highlighter tool to add in some extra light to simulate light coming from the "sun" at the top. Shame that makes the shadow the wrong way round, but hey! it's allowed coz its ART!!

One example from a recent eBay auctions that I created with your excelent software. I'm sure this increased the bid quite a lot compared to a regulare "un-blinged" image.
I'm sure, I'll never again start any eBay auction without a blinged picture again. |

I am a member of www.powersellersforum.com.
They have told me of your wonderful tool ( Bling! it
) , for editing photos to help make them stand out on
ebay. I have added to this mail a before and after image
of my first attempt at trying Bling! it. I found this
tool extremely easy to use and great fun!

This is such a FUN tool! I made these
changes in just a matter of minutes. The originals were
done on a scanner, rather than photos. These Candle
Holders come in separate boxes but I wanted to show
them as a pair. I took a scan of one box side. Then
transferred the scan to my Microsoft Publisher program,
twice. This gave me two pictures, which I arranged and
printed. I then scanned the printed picture. This gave
me the image I wanted to work with. It was easy then
to transfer it to Bling! It, get rid of the old background
and add the new background and shadows. I have used
this on other scanned items. It’s so easy and
fast to use! Love it!

I love the BlingIt drape backgrounds
but wanted some lighter colors, so I manipulated the
colors in Photoshop and saved them in files on my hard
drive. I painted out the original background with the
red brush. Because there were some small spaces, I had
to reduce the brush size and then add some of the foreground
back with the eraser brush. I sharpened the image, added
a small amount of fuzzy shadow, and used a background
in a color that I thought complimented the item I’m
selling.

Using Bling! It makes a huge difference
to the finished picture. The background really helps
the listing stand out on the gallery thumbnail. The

I started out using the delete local
to remove the background. I then used the library of
great looking backgrounds to add this sunset effect.
I tried to find a background that would play up the
colors in the vase and I really think this one did the
trick!

Bling It! is going to revolutionize the
way I sell on eBay. The Puma modifications took literally
45secs to create and look phenomenal. The Bling It!
tools really come into their own when creating the all-important
perfect thumbnail photo. I strongly believe that the
software could pay for itself after the first handful
of auctions have been launched with the professionals
photos included, good photos = confident bidders. |

I downloaded the software just yesterday
and already been working on my images non stop since
then ... amazing possibilities with such ease ... I
am so very happy I found the software so easy after
the 1st 2-3 tries ... its amazing. I am already seeing
some of my items getting sold off which were stuck with
me for quite a long time to SELL immediately once I
upload some beautiful photos recreated with the help
of Bling It. |

We used Bling! It to remove the background
and replace with a much better one. Then we made the
guitar brighter with the highlight tool and cleaner
with the sharpen tool; added a drop shadow. Then for
the final touch we placed our logo. All under 10 minutes!

I wanted to do this lamp justice and
so decided to try out Bling! It. Its unbelievable at
how quick it is to delete the background, I love the
funky backgrounds in the library!

Using Bling! It to remove and replace
the background was really easy and took me no more than
3mins. I opened the original image, and painted in all
of the areas I wanted to delete with the red brush.
Then I selected ‘Compose Picture’ tab, I
just selected a new background from the image library
that better suited the product I was selling. I then
added a really cool effect called a drop shadow to make
it look more realistic and then saved the image. Easy!

We liked the original shot but thought
it looked a bit sad. I'm lucky I found Bling! It, because
in about 5-10mins I deleted the background and put this
new one in. I’ve never done anything like this
before - amazing!
